16:4. യഹോവ കല്പിച്ചതുപോലെ ശമൂവേൽ ചെയ്തു, ബേത്ത്ളേഹെമിൽ ചെന്നു; പട്ടണത്തിലെ മൂപ്പന്മാർ അവന്റെ വരവിങ്കൽ വിറെച്ചുകൊണ്ടു അവനെ എതിരേറ്റു: നിന്റെ വരവു ശുഭം തന്നേയോ എന്നു ചോദിച്ചു.

16:4. Samuel did what the LORD told him. When he arrived in Bethlehem, the elders of the city were afraid to meet him. They said, "Do you come in peace?"

16:4. So Samuel did as the LORD instructed. When he arrived at Bethlehem, the elders of the town came trembling to meet him. "What's wrong?" they asked. "Do you come in peace?"

16:4. And Samuel did that which Jehovah spake, and came to Beth-lehem. And the elders of the city came to meet him trembling, and said, Comest thou peaceably?
